The French anti-aircraft gun from the Second World War was designed in cooperation with the Musée Dunkerque 1940 (Dunkirk War Museum), which tells the poignant story of the defence of Dunkirk and Operation Dynamo in late May and early June 1940. The Kettenkrad is one of the most unusual vehicles of the Second World War. It resembled a combination of a motorcycle and a tracked vehicle. The construction was so successful that even allied troops used captured units of this vehicle. The Kettenkrad was designed in the late 1930s. In 1941, it officially entered service with the Wehrmacht. It proved itself effective in difficult terrain as a light towing vehicle, tractor or supply transporter. It could also carry machine guns, mortars and drums with telephone cable.
The Sd. Kfz.2 Kettenkrad is entirely designed with COBI building blocks. The Type 82 is the most popular passenger car commonly associated with the German army in the DAK (Deutsches Afrikakorps) desert painting. The production of the Kübelwagen Type 82 came during the war years, 1940-1945. Prototype units took part in the aggression against Poland. Kübelwagen cars were also used during the invasion of France. Since then, the Kübelwagen has become one of the standard vehicles of the German army. It was used by all types of troops, on all fronts of the war.

The Mikoyan MiG-15 (Russian: МиГ-15) was the first mass-produced Soviet jet fighter. It was designated in the NATO code as "Fagot". The production of jet-propelled fighters was a major qualitative leap in the military industry of the USSR. Soon the MIG-15 became an export hit and was used by the Warsaw Pact countries, as well as Asian and African countries. The Vought F4U-4 Corsair was a US Navy fighter aircraft. It was produced from 1942-1952 by Vought-Sikorsky Aircraft. The popular "Corsair" entered service in 1942. The design process, however, dates to 1938. The characteristic shape of the hinged wings and the rearward-shifted pilot's cockpit were the result of numerous modifications during the design and testing phase of the prototypes. The culmination of the design work was a construction with exceptional performance, considered by many to be the best fighter of World War II.
Corsairs were used by American units during the Korean War. In the initial period, there were dog fights between the F4U and the Yak-9 fighters, but with the arrival of the MiG-15, Corsairs in Korea were withdrawn to the role of support aircraft and night fighters. The plane was armed with six 12.7mm Browning machine guns, two 450kg bombs or eight 127mm HVAR unguided missiles. The first African American US Navy pilot (whose life inspired a film script) sat at the controls of just such a machine.
The Vought F4U-4 Corsair kit was released under the license of the Northrop-Grumman concern and contains 520 high-quality components. The Bell UH-1 Huey® is a multi-role American helicopter that entered service in 1957. It is widely known from the Vietnam War where it served as a transport, air support and medical helicopter. Many types of weapons were mounted on the helicopter including a machine gun on the transport sides, and in the support version 70 mm unguided missile pods and the M134 Minigun rifles. 12 soldiers could board the helicopter.

The Berlin wall with a length of approx. 10 000 meters in length. 156 km, which existed formally from 13 August 1961 to 9 November 1989.

The powerful M12 self-propelled gun is the result of adapting the chassis of the popular M3 Lee medium tank to handle a 155 mm gun. The design process proved long and lasted from 1941 to 1944. In the meantime, the produced test units were repeatedly rebuilt. Eventually, at the end of July 1944, the M12 self-propelled cannons were delivered to the western front. Interestingly, the Cargo Carrier M30 was also designed at the same time. It was a version of M12 without a cannon, serving as an ammunition carrier. The M24 Chaffee was an American light tank of World War II. Between 1944 and 1945, 4,731 units were produced. It successfully replaced the M3/M5 Stuart light tank. Chaffee was equipped with welded Armor, two engines and a 75mm cannon, which was previously designed for the B-25 Mitchell bomber. It was the first Western Allied tank to use torsion sticks as suspensions. Occasionally, Allied soldiers opened fire on their own tanks because the Chaffee chassis resembled a German Panzer II and a Panther. The tank was used in battles in France, Italy and the Third Reich. After the war, the M24 remained in service by American troops. It enjoyed great popularity and found many buyers all over the world. The M24 was also used in the Korean War. Units belonging to France fought in Indochina and Algeria. In the Vietnam War they were used by the South Vietnamese army. To this day they are active with the Uruguayan army. The Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track was a World War II German armoured personnel carrier designed by the Hanomag company and was based on its earlier, unarmoured Sd.Kfz. 11 vehicles. The Sd.Kfz. 251 was designed to transport the Panzergrenadier (German mechanized infantry) into battle. Sd.Kfz. 251’s was the most widely produced German half-tracks of the war, with at least 15,252 vehicles and variants produced by seven manufacturers.

The Renault R35, an abbreviation of Char léger Modèle 1935 R or R 35, was a French light infantry tank of the Second World War. Designed from 1933 onwards and produced from 1936, the type was intended as an infantry support light tank, equipping autonomous tank battalions, that would be allocated to individual infantry divisions to assist them in executing offensive operations. To this end, it was relatively well-armoured but slow and lacking a good antitank capacity, fitted with a short 37 mm gun. At the outbreak of the war, the antitank role was more emphasized leading to the development and eventual production from April 1940 of a subtype with a more powerful longer gun, the Renault R40.

The KV-1 (known in Poland as the KW-1) was a Soviet heavy tank that surpassed the German designs at the beginning of the war. It was produced from 1940-1943 at the Leningrad Kirov Plants and the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant. 4,786 units of all versions were produced. The name of the tank comes from the Soviet Défense Commissar, Kliment Voroshilov.
The tank was characterized by strong Armor up to 82mm, impossible to penetrate for most German equipment, and a heavy weight of up to 45 tons. The main armament was a 76mm gun. The tank's disadvantages were slowness, steerability, unreliable engine, lack of ergonomics and poor visibility of the battlefield. Despite this the tank was a difficult opponent. The successor of the KW-1 equipped with the same gun was the legendary T-34 tank.

The Jagdpanzer 38 (t) in casual language, "Hetzer" is a German armoured cannon from World War II. The design was based on the modified chassis of the PzKpfw 38 (t) tank (Czechoslovakian LT vz. 38). The vehicle was developed in 1943 and production started in 1944. Over 2,500 copies were produced. The greatest advantages of the vehicle were its fast and cheap production, low silhouette and highly inclined armor plates, which favoured the ricochet of shells. After the war, the Czechoslovakian factory continued production until the 1950s for its own and the Swiss army.

There is probably no other tank that has inspired more curiosity and interest in the entire history of mechanized Armor than the Panzer VIII “MAUS”. It is surrounded by an aura of mystery, and the facts are mixed about it with the legends surrounding growing over the years. The Panzerkampfwagen VIII "MAUS" was a prototype German super heavy tank from the Second World War. It was the heaviest and largest tank ever built. It weighed over 188 tons! The project was carried out in the years 1942-1944. Only two incomplete prototypes were ever built and never entered service. In April 1945, the Red Army captured both abandoned Maus prototypes, which were located at the Kummersdorf training ground. They were assembled into a vehicle with the hull of the first prototype and the turret of the second. This hybrid is still one of the main attractions of the Tank Museum in Kubinka near Moscow. The M4 Sherman was the main American medium tank from the Second World War. Produced in the years 1942-1945, it became the most recognizable American tank. The T34 Calliope was a 60-tube launcher that fired 114.3 mm (4.6 inch) M8 rockets. The entire structure of the launcher was made of plywood. It was a one-off construction and was removed after all the rockets had been fired. The advantage of the launcher was the large number of missiles fired, with better performance than the German equivalent Nebelwerfer. The disadvantages included not the greatest accuracy of the rockets and the way they were mounted on the tank, which posed a significant threat to the crew in the event of urgent evacuation. Calliope was developed in 1943 and about 200 were produced. It was used in the American 2nd Armoured Division in France.

The mighty Panzerkampfwagen E-100 is a mysterious German prototype super-heavy tank developed in the final stages of World War II. The vehicle was designed as part of the Entwicklungsserie program, aimed at developing a series of unique armoured vehicles of various types. Work started in 1943 but was discontinued by 1944. The Henschel company tried to continue its work to a limited extent. It became possible to produce the hull on which, according to plans from 1943, a modified Maus tank turret was to be mounted. Further modifications were also considered to allow the installation of even larger calibre guns. Captured by the Allies, the hull was sent to Great Britain for testing in 1945, and later scrapped. There is only a modest photographic and drawing documentation of the E-100 tank. Due to its uniqueness and size, the vehicle is very popular and often appears not only in historical literature, but also in games and documentaries.

Jagdpanzer V "Jagdpanther" was the best German tank destroyer of World War II. It was designed on the chassis of the famous Panther tank. This huge vehicle was equipped with an effective and battle-proven 88mm gun. The destroyer was characterized by very good Armor and mobility. Production of the Jagdpanther started in December 1943. About 392 units of this vehicle were produced by the end of the war. Jagdpanthers were baptized in Normandy, and they also fought in the Ardennes and in Germany. In cooperation with the Deutschers Panzer Museum Munster, we have prepared a model of the museum’s Merkava Mk. I / II. The Merkava was the first main battle tank designed and manufactured in Israel. Serial production started in 1979. Since then, four generations have been created. The tank is used exclusively by the Israeli Défense Forces and has been involved in all military conflicts and operations that took place after the Yom Kippur War involving the State of Israel.
The tank was designed according to very specific IDF requirements. Above all, it provides very good protection for a tank crew, which is extremely valuable to Israel. The engine is located at the front and is easily accessible and provides additional protection for the crew. The turret and the fighting compartment are located at the rear of the tank. The turret is wedge-shaped, and the hull is low profile, which makes it easier to minimize damage. High firepower is provided by the improved 105mm M68 gun. The empty ammunition compartment can allow for the transport of troops, as well. The Merkava II tank was equipped with reinforced Armor, side screens and a better fire control system. Merkava II tanks were finally replaced with the 3rd and 4th generations in 2021.

Produced in the years 1941-1945, it was modified many times, and many special vehicles were created on its basic design. The British Mark V tank (male version) was produced in 1918 at the end of the First World War. The tank was equipped with two 57mm cannons and five machine guns operated by a crew of eight. The Mark V travelled at a dizzying speed of 7.4 km/h and could cover 65 km on the road! These tanks took part in the clashes at Gomel, Amiens and on the Hindenburg line on the Western Front. To this day the museum specimen from The Tank Museum in Bovington (Great Britain), numbered 9199, remains in operation. It was this specimen with documented combat history that served as the prototype for the COBI block model.

Only one was made, and it’s well cared for as a "star" in The Tank Museum in Great Britain. A characteristic feature of this unusual vehicle is its multi-turret design! The tank has five rotating towers! The largest is equipped with a 3-pounder cannon. The remaining four are equipped with a Vickers machine gun. The USS TANG is an American Balao-class submarine from the Second World War. The ship's armament included 24 torpedoes, an anti-aircraft gun and two machine guns. The maximum tested operational depth was 180 meters. It was launched on August 17, 1943. On October 24, 1944, the Tang was sunk during its fifth patrol. The sole commander of the unit was Richard O'Kane, who, along with eight sailors, survived the ship's catastrophe and remained in Japanese captivity until the end of the war. Statistics indicate that the USS TANG was the most successful submarine in the Pacific. It sunk between 24 and 31 enemy vessels.

The USS Pennsylvania and USS Arizona were two battleships launched during the Great War. During their service, the ships underwent modernization. Both Pennsylvania-class ships were present at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941. During the raid on the USS Arizona there was a catastrophic detonation. COBI, together with the Deutsches Marine Museum, has created a unique commemorative set in Honor of the museum exhibit! Seehund (Type XXVII B) was a midget submarine produced in Germany at the end of World War II. Designed in 1944 and manned by a crew of two, it was used by the German Navy in the final months of the war. One of the few surviving ships is exhibited in the Deutsches Marine Museum.
The block U-Boot TYPE XXVII "SEEHUND" was developed in 1:72 scale. The 1:144 scale used so far for submarines turned out to be too small for such a small submarine. The Higgins Boat model made of COBI construction blocks faithfully reflects its historical inspiration, maintaining the popular 1:35 scale. The block boat is a completely new structure, designed from scratch. The model is 36cm long. It has an opening ramp and a detailed full hull. The set includes movable elements such as two machine guns with covers and a mechanism for lowering and raising the front ramp based on a cable system. Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel (LCVP) or the Higgins Boat was a type of landing craft used during World War II and later to transport and land supplies, small vehicles and soldiers. They were used on a massive scale during D-Day (June 6, 1944) and in Operations Torch in North Africa, Husky, Shingle and Avalanche in Italy, as well as in combat in the Pacific in the Battle of Guadalcanal, the Gilbert Islands, the Philippines, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
The Higgins Boat was designed by Andrew Higgins. Various manufacturers produced over 20,000 of these units. Most of the structure was built mainly of plywood, which made the boat very cheap and easy to build, extremely light, but at the same time it did not provide any protection against gunfire. Thanks to the flat bottom, a special lowered front ramp and the drive cover, it could reach any shore, even very shallow ones. The barge could carry a 36-person army platoon on board. In the case of transporting a small vehicle such as an off-road vehicle, it could also accommodate about 12 soldiers or 3.6 tons of cargo. The landing craft reached speeds of up to 12 knots (14 mph, 22 km/h). The boat was also armed with two machine guns operated by two gunners.

During the 1930s and 40s, it saw both civilian and military service flying as a passenger and freight carrier for twelve commercial airlines including Lufthansa and Swissair and with the Luftwaffe as a troop and cargo transport and even for a short time as a bomber. The Ju 52 nicknamed 'Aunt Ju' and 'Iron Annie', continued to fly well into the 1980s with military and civilian air fleets. 4,845 aircraft were built.

The BF 110D was a very popular twin-engine fighter-bomber aircraft of German construction from the Second World War. Produced between 1938 and 1945 it had several versions. Starting with the B version, it was equipped as standard with 4 MG 17 and 2 x MG FF 20mm rifles mounted on the front of the nose and a single MG 15 mounted on a movable station at the end of the fuselage and operated by a radio operator. It was successfully used during the September and French campaigns. The 110 later took over the role of a bomber. The COBI building block model has many moving elements like the rotating wheels with rubber tires, movable propellers and flaps. In the cabin we put two full-size figures of pilots. The brick model was produced with beautiful pad-printed markings, which it used during operation in the Mediterranean Greek campaign. For the first time ever, COBI offers the most modern French fighter aircraft of the Second World War. The Dewoitine D.520 was designed and built in 1938 at the Société nationale des constructions aéronautiques du Midi. The Dewoitine D.520 was a single-seat all-metal low-wing fighter aircraft. The production of the aircraft was not interrupted by the surrender of France in 1940. Later copies were made for the needs of the Vichy government, the Air Force and the Italian, Bulgarian and Romanian armies. Polish pilots defending France were equipped with 26 aircraft of this type during the German invasion in 1940. A total of about 755 fighter jets were produced. The design proved to be so good that the aircraft remained in service after the war until 1953.

The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine basic WWII night bomber. After October 1940 it was also used by the Polish aviation in Great Britain. This extremely successful plane was produced from 1937 until the end of the war in 1945. It was created in many different variants which differed in equipment but not in the basic design. Due to their low manoeuvrability, the Wellingtons flew mainly at night. They were also perfect for coastal patrolling and as submarine hunters. Additionally, they were famous for their high resistance to damage sustained in combat.
The British Vickers Wellington bomber was precisely reproduced from COBI construction blocks in 1:37 scale. The plane is 53 cm long and has a wingspan of 71.5 cm. The design of such a huge model required the use of 1,162 bricks. The set also includes precise prints that do not rub off during intense play. This unusual twin-engine aircraft had a nacelle with a pilot's cabin placed between two fuselages. The plane was decommissioned only in 1965.

The Messerschmitt BF 109 was the main Luftwaffe fighter from the Second World War, the most widely produced and in many different versions. Found on every German front of the Second World War, the E-3 version entered production in May 1939. Airplanes of this type took part in the Battle of Britain. The historic prints of the set refer to a machine flown by 22-year-old non-commissioned officer Horst Perez, who, due to a possible engine failure, had to make an emergency landing in a field in East Dean, Sussex. The pilot was taken prisoner, and the repaired plane was tested in the USA and Canada. Currently, the fighter is on display at a museum in Great Britain.
The COBI Messerschmitt BF 109 E-3 is a completely new design adapted to the 1:32 scale. The plane is even bigger and contains more details with the help of 333 COBI construction blocks. The Hawker Hurricane Mk I is one of the most popular British WWII fighters. It did very well in action, facing the German Messerschmitts. The small arms were eight 7.7mm Browning machine guns. The model designed by COBI refers to the colours of the Czechoslovakian pilot and fighter ace Josef František flying in the famous 303 Squadron.
The plane, modelled on a scale of 1:32, has a movable propeller and ailerons. Its rotating rubber tire wheels slide out of the undercarriage in the take-off or landing position. The pilot's cabin can be opened to place at the controls a carefully reproduced figure of the heroic pilot from Squadron 303 (Josef František). The plane has been covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off even during intensive use. Stickers are completely dispensed with in this set. The prints reflect the markings and equipment of the aircraft from the Battle of Britain in 1940.
