Produced by removing the firm outer husk then roller milling the inner kernel of grain and sieving out the bran. The end product makes for an easy digestible food when baked. Retains a substantial proportion of spelt's nutrients, although some of the dietary fibre is lost from removing the bran. High in nutrition and has a nutty flavour.
Spelt (Triticum spelta) is an ancient hulled wheat (aka a 'glume wheat') that has been cultivated since 5000BCE. It has a nuttier flavour than standard flour. Due to the hull protecting it, the grain is resistant to environmental and ecological damage during its entire growth phase. Although a relative of common wheat it has undergone little change via breeding processes over the millennia. Common wheat is unhulled and thus easier to thresh and mill, which is probably why it has become more popular. An unhulled wheat also lends itself more easily to breeding for characteristics such as yield. Spelt is more expensive than modern wheats because it requires the extra stage of husk removal before milling.

Genetic evidence suggests it is a naturally occurring hybrid of emmer and wild goat-grass, a hybridisation that took place around Anatolia some 7000 years ago. It likely predated common bread wheat by a few thousand years. Spelt was a staple grain in Europe from the Bronze age to the Middle Ages. Oats are a cool climate grain, our variety is a naked (husk less) oats. The downside is that it requires plenty of moisture, demands better soil quality. They have an extremely good flavour and good healthy content which is higher than from most cereals. Oats are high in Iron and calcium. Our energy content is 15.3 [normal 12]. Our protein is 12.8 [normal 10.7].

We roll our oats fresh on demand, cold rolled oats are not heat treated so all the goodness is retained and should be consumed in 3 month period, kept in a cool dry dark storage. As a seed you can keep it for years in its original form. Traditionally oats are a breakfast cereal used as porridge but these days as fresh muesli and soups for thickening, cook oat grain for 15/20min and eat instead of rice or make it as a salad. Directions for Use
Simply chew or swallow 1 caplet just before consuming dairy. For most adults, 1 Ultra caplet is sufficient but you can adjust the dose to suit your individual needs.
Lacteeze Double Strength caplets should be taken every time you consume dairy products.
Lacteeze remains in your digestive system for about one hour. If you want to consume more dairy after this time we recommend you repeat the dose.

Lacteeze Double Strength does not need to be refrigerated.
Store at room temperature (not more than 35°C).
Do not freeze.

Details
LACTEEZE DROPS work differently to our caplets and tablets. They are not taken orally but are added to liquid dairy products to convert the lactose into more easily digestible glucose milk sugars. This conversion process needs to take place before the dairy product is consumed.

Lacteeze Drops should not be taken orally as the pH of the drops will render them less effective as they travel through the stomach.

Directions for Use
Directions for use:
Reducing lactose in cow's milk: Add 5 drops of Lacteeze to 1 litre of milk and refrigerate for a minimum of 24 hours. This will convert 70-80% of lactose. To convert more lactose, simply refrigerate for longer or increase the number of Lacteeze drops used to 8-10 drops.

Breast feeding: Express 2 tablespoons of breast milk and add 4 drops of Lacteeze. Shake well and wait 5 minutes before giving mixture to baby. Then breastfeed like normal.

Bottle feeding (suitable for breast milk or infant formula): Add 4 drops of Lacteeze to every 50ml of warm feed. Shake well and wait 30 minutes prior to consumption. Do not refrigerate.

Advanced preparation (suitable for breast milk or infant formula): Add 2 drops of Lacteeze to every 50ml or warm feed. Shake well and wait 5 minutes, then refrigerate a minimum of 4 hours prior to consumption.

To convert more lactose simply leave the Lacteeze/dairy mixture for longer than the minimum times specified above. Once conversion has completed, the mixture can be frozen or heated.

Prior to opening store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
Once opened store Lacteeze Drops in the fridge. Do not freeze.
Lacteeze Drops will remain effective for 3 months after opening if stored in the fridge.
