Heirloom variety obtained by renowned seedsman Dr. John Navazio. Excellent sweet and slightly peppery flavour. Spectacular appearance. Can be harvested early for gourmet baby carrot production and later for bunching with typical full-grown roots from 15-20cm. Variety has been locally adapted and improved, through rigorous selection process at Birdland, for better flavour, appearance and stronger tops. Very high anti-oxidant and carotene levels. Sow direct to garden bed and keep moist until germination. Approx. 750 seeds/gm.
